His dick slumped with a mixture of the black fluids and his own dripping from every inch of it. The female demon had fallen onto her head along the way, but she was still alive. He added vile spores to the mix to finish her off, pulled up his pants, and worked with the belt as he turned to see what came out of the portal.

“Where is my offering?” a deep voice boomed from the clearing. The flickering flames fell over the hooded figure, but Julian didn’t need him to lower the hood to know what he was. The build gave it away, as did the demonic bodies lining the area. It was an orc warlock, level six, with two red life force bars he couldn’t wait to destroy.

Julian didn’t bother with the door. He wanted the warlock sooner rather than later, so he laid his hands on the counter and threw his legs over the flat surface. The warlock was too busy examining the carnage, so he took the opportunity to close the gap as the druidic armor formed over his body.

The warlock turned toward Julian as his thick fingers lowered the hood. His beady red eyes narrowed upon him, but the fight was over before it even started. Years of unbridled hatred ignited within the chloromancer, and he had no intention of holding back. He rapidly stacked vile spores four times to stagger the orc. The warlock tried to respond with a spell of his own, but the vines were already underway. Many spells required hand gestures, so he ordered the vines to wrap around the fingers and tighten into a coil. Bones snapped. The orc let out a mighty growl of pain, but Julian didn’t loosen his grip. In fact, he made them tighten more, just to make sure that every bone within the grasp of the vines was rendered to dust.

“Why did you attack these poor creatures?” Julian growled as he closed the gap between them. The slack in the vines was used to wrap around the neck of the warlock. He didn’t squeeze them tight, but he made sure to restrict the air that flowed into the monster’s blackened lungs. “What could you possibly have to gain from hurting them?”

“I’ll never…tell…you,” the orc growled with a purple glow surrounding his hands. Another portal opened, but Julian was ready for the demon that stormed out of it. He cast vile spores the second the black leg stepped through, then channeled life steal to pin the monster down.

One red bar had already disappeared. Julian wanted answers, so he withdrew the vines from the orc’s hands and used them to bind the arms around the torso.

“You’re not going anywhere, so talk while I decide how quickly to kill you.”

The orc laughed. His hands were utterly crushed, and his life force was fading, yet the warlock laughed as though a marvelous joke had been shared. The chuckle only fueled the anger smoldering within him, but he resisted the urge to use the vines to rip the orc’s jaw from his skull.
